Life is better down on the farm….so are prices!
If you can manage to make it to the vanilla coast (Andapa to Antalaha, on the coast of NE Madagascar)..be our guest! – Typically, we can arrange tour programs, give you a farm production and bourbon curing process tour, film permits or fun permits (!)…and otherwise just host you to see vanilla life and lemurs.
We are located about an hour south of the provincial airport of Sambava (SVB) and can pick you up there. We are closer to the beaches south of Antalaha and our other farms are in the corridor between Ambilobe and Vohemar, as well as in and around Ampanefena and Andapa. If you come around the opening of the black season (cured and ready to ship) around August-November is best. If you’d like to see the green harvest season and selection on the vines, it is better to come around May-August. If you come between December and May, you can still see vanilla growing and black vanilla finished and stored and taste-able.You can of course buy the vanilla from us right there in Madagascar too, and we can export it for you!
